The application is capable of recording your screen or part of it, with certain user-defined settings. The best part is that its functionality is straightforward, so you won't spend too much time preparing a recording process.

The application is offered completely free of charge, without any ads or restricted functions. It is compatible with all popular Windows versions and it takes about a minute to install it. The software requires the Windows Media Encoder 9, which comes in the same installation package, so you don't have to look for it.

Everything you need to record your screen can be found on the same window. You can set the program to record at different frame rates and quality levels, with or without sound. Also, you can choose to record the entire screen, with or without the task bar or record specific programs, which you can target on a separate window or by clicking and dragging a finder tool.

Options for starting, stopping or pausing the recording can be found on the upper edge of the user interface. Once you start recording, the interface will minimize automatically. You can bring it back through a system tray icon. The recorded footage is saved automatically, in WMV format, in a default folder, which can be changed on the same interface.
